Since the admission fees to many of these parks can be upwards of $50 or more, a military discount can be the difference between being able to go and not being able to go.

What should you know about Universal Studios’ Military discount and the military discounts available at other parks?

Universal Studios offers one of the best discount programs available. It is open to all active and retired US military members year-round. The discount is also available for Department of Defense employees, National Guard members, Reservists, and Veterans and their dependents.

If you’re planning a trip to Universal Studios to visit the theme park, you’ll need to purchase your discount tickets in advance from participating Military Ticket Offices, which are located throughout the country. An ID is required, but it doesn’t have to be a military ID.

There are two ways you can purchase Universal Studios military discount tickets. Visit one of the Military Ticket Offices to make your purchase. These offices are located on military bases, but they don’t always have tickets in stock. You might want to give the office a heads up that you’re thinking about purchasing tickets, so they order them in advance for you, which usually takes about a week.

You can also purchase a discounted ticket at the gate ofUniversal Studios. You’ll need to show an ID at the gate.

Universal Studios military discount tickets provide $3.00 off a general admission ticket. There are blackout dates, so make sure you contact the park in advance to make sure the date you have in mind isn’t one that’s ineligible for a discount.

Disney parks also offer discounts. It might be possible to plan a trip to the so-called happiest place on Earth without breaking the bank – good news to military families who don’t have a lot of extra money to spend on travel and vacations.

Remember that some parks offer discounts on certain days, such as Memorial Day or Veterans Day. In other cases, there might be blackout dates on holidays, so it’s important to check in advance so your plans won’t have to change at the last minute.

In addition to Universal Studios and various Disney parks that offer discounts, what other discounts are available for military members and veterans from amusement parks?

Colonial Williamsburg

You’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time when you visit Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, which you can do for a discounted price as a military member. Active duty service members can receive a single complimentary ticket each year and up to three discounted tickets for family members.

There is also a 50 percent discount available for up to five annual passes for Colonial Williamsburg admission for military members and vets.

Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN

Dollywood amusement park offers a 30 percent discounted single-day admission for retired military, disabled veterans, and reservists, and their spouses and children. Tickets are available for purchase at the entry gate of Dollywood.

Hershey Park in Hershey Pennsylvania

Hershey Park provides a military discount for those visiting during their regular summer hours, as well as those who wish to attend the Hershey Park in the Dark Halloween event and the Hershey Park Christmas Candy Lane. In addition to the discounted tickets for the amusement park, all visitors can also enjoy a free ride through Hershey’s Chocolate World.

Knott’s Berry Farm in California
